In 1978, I was six years old in New Rochelle, NY. That summer, my siblings and our wildly creative neighbors (Ages 6 to 12) turned a basement into a theater.

It was our last summer before moving to New Jersey, and we were on a mission: to stage a full production of A Little Princess before we said goodbye. We built sets, made costumes, wrote our own programs, and rehearsed for weeks (Fun fact: two of the kids from that summer crew actually went on to work in Hollywood!)

I played Lottie Leigh—small, loud, and full of heart. And in the playbill, under my photo, it read:

“Her ambition in life is to be a MAGICIAN.”

And honestly? It still is!

I've always been curious and driven—I love to learn. I earned a Master’s in Bioengineering, followed by an MBA in Technology Management and Marketing. I chased knowledge, stacked credentials, and tackled complex systems.

But even with all that education and work experience, something was missing. I wasn’t chasing prestige—I was chasing purpose.

I found it in real estate.

Today, I help people navigate the messy, meaningful moments—buying, selling, rebuilding. But I don’t stop at paperwork:

I draw on my construction experience to turn everyday listings into homes that captivate. By making strategic, budget-friendly improvements, I help my clients showcase their property at its absolute best—ensuring they don’t leave money on the table. With the right updates and intentional staging, great marketing, a home becomes more than just a space—it becomes a standout story buyers want to be part of.

Now I’m Laura, The Unicorn Realtor: bilingual, renovation-ready, Dayton-based, and fiercely human. I specialize in the tough ones—the homes with potential, the buyers with big dreams, the transitions that deserve heart.

Because at the end of the day, I’m still that kid in the basement:

building with love, solving what’s hard, and making magic wherever I go.
